The FAMILIOKRATOS Story
The Familiokratos coalition is born following the interparliamentary forum held in Warsaw on the 13th May 2007: that days, parliamentarians from all countries gathered to celebrate international commitments re: life and the family.
On the 10th December 2007 in Strasbourg, leaders met in coalition and decided to target UN process in launching the call in launching the call in favor of rights and dignity of life in the human family. This call has been forwarded by all members of the coalition then named "Familiokratos" who collected signatures in their own countries.
The Familiokratos coalition, gathers partners who are mentionned below. The European petition promoted by Movimento Per la Vita called Petizione europea per la vita e la dignità dell'uomo, is not the Familiokratos petition.
On the 25-26 October 2008, in Bratislava, leaders met in order to share signatures of the call.
The Familiokratos call has been handed out by Anna ZÁBORSKÁ to the Gabon ambassador to the Holy See. Gabon may forward it to the UN General Secretary in order to be forwarded to all UN ambassadors, in the context of the 60th anniversary of the UDHR, the 10th December 2008 in New York.
C-FAM: a copyright infringement case or how to build a database at low cost;...
Here is a clear possible copyright infringement case. Despite all promises Mr. Ruse never mentioned members of the Familiokratos as authors of the call. He simply collected emails from European countries for his own database asking signatories not to sign any further national request for signature "in order to avoid double signature". Ruse never sent national emails collections back to their national authors. The C-Fam call does not mention neither authors, nor this blog. No media were never referred by C-Fam to the Familiokratos coalition.
Carlo Casini met with a group of us at a law conference this July in Rome. He asked for our help in circulating your petition. [NB: This is not the case: Carlo Casini asked Ruse to promote the Movimento per la Vita petition].
I thnk your petiton is quite good. I have been opposed to such initiatives in the past becuase they have tened to say that governments MUST interpret the Universal Declaration to protect the unborn child from abortion which i think is false.
Your petition takes the position, quite wisely and accurately, that governments MAY and SHOULD interpret the Universal Declaration to protect the unborn child from abortion not that they must! Very good!
Anyway, we made some minor edits to the peittion and have begun circulating it. I expect we will get 30,000-50,000+ names.
All the best,
Austin
The Familiokratos coalition has been fooled by Ruse who still refuses to collaborate with the authors of the call, but raises money and build email databases on their behalf.
